Alex Fraser Medal for Animal Welfare

As you will know Mary set up the Animal Welfare Conversation Podcast in late 2023. Earlier that year her father Alex Fraser passed away, and this medal is in memory of him, and is inspired by one of his favourite dogs.

As a man who loved animals, he instilled in his daughter a love of nature that led to her training as a veterinary surgeon. 

​

Like the podcast, the aim of this medal is to highlight the fantastic work that goes on, quietly, every day, by people who care about animals. 

​

The medal will be awarded annually to someone who goes that extra mile to improve animal welfare. Nominations can be made personally or by others. 

​
